Known for her wild style on The Simple Life, Nicole Richie has always taken a unique approach to her hairdo. However, after years of awkward extensions and bad dye jobs, it seems Nicole Richie has finally recovered from past hair tragedies. A few years ago, Richie’s style could have been called complicated at best.

Then, her hair actually began to noticeably thin due to unhealthy eating habits. In fact, t looked as though Richie was going bald. This ‘do only added to the sickly image of her overly thin body. Today though, the maturing actress sports a sophisticated style with side-swept bangs. Whether she wears it straight and sexy or curly and classic, her hair ultimately looks fantastic.

Her long layers highlight her beautiful facial features, and the vibrant blonde color gives a clean, healthy look to Richie’s style. Despite this upgraded hairdo, Richie is still a slave to extensions. Most of her longer layers are fake, and she is even known to wear pieces in her bangs. While this helps add volume to her thin locks, extensions can be damaging. Overall, though, her current look could be called sophisticated and polished; a vast improvement from her overly processed past.
