Keira Knightley

When we first saw Keira, she was kicking soccer balls down the field in “Bend it like Beckham.” At the time her hair was a light golden brown. Instead of the longer locks that we are used to seeing, she sported a much shorter look. Now, we have been able to see her with longer and lighter hair. It almost looks as though she could be considered to be a blonde.

Her locks have some added layers throughout the mane as well. This allows Knightley to shape her face and accent that jaw line. Those of you who have distinct jaw lines need to make sure that you take advantage of it. You can look great when you add shorter layers around your jaw line.

That stunning look you see on celebrities like Carrie Underwood and Kate Hudson with a high crown and gracefully swept back hair looks impossible, right? Who can get their hair that high? The truth is, you can! The high crown look is not as complicated as it looks to pull off – with a few products and tools, and a little know how, your high crown, elegant look will be finished just in time for your next party.

 Kate-Hudson

The big word in high crowns is backcombing. You’ve heard the word, but understanding it is something different. To start your high crown, try leaving your hair unwashed for the day to help it move and stay put when you play with it. To begin the crown, pull a portion of hair from the top of your head and hold it straight up or forward at an angle slightly. Use a teasing comb or brush to comb the underside of this portion of hair downward and back (back combing). Before letting go of the hair, spray the underside liberally to help it stay in place. Repeat this process several times over the crown of the head, always on the underside and never the top. Once you are finished, gather the portions together and let it lie so that it is smooth on top and backcombed on bottom, fastening it into place with bobby pins or a pretty barrette.

Another option for getting a high crown is a new product on the market that is a hair clip. This clip goes underneath the portion of hair you want bumped up and your hair lies on top of it. Fasten the hair to the back of your head and the clip stays in, creating a fake high crown in a few easy steps. Photo Copyright of PR PHOTOS

There is no doubt in the care that is taken in preparing Celebrity hair for that red carpet appearance, performance or as they go about doing charity work. A full time stylist is a pre-requisite but the chemicals that are used have and must be the best money can buy. This of course is where the fans and general public differ from them as more often than not; one has to opt for the cheaper generic products, all in the name of following the trend of the Celebrity hair.

Debra Messing Hair, Makeup, Fashion Style

“Fashion’s Night Out” was an event held in New York City for stars and fashion designers to attend. The event was held at Macy’s Herald Square, which welcomed the celebrities with open arms. Debra Messing arrived looked glamorous.

Debra Messing

Debra’s makeup style was perfect for her. She always seems to know just what to wear and how much of it. She wore a rose blush on the apples of he cheeks. Her lipstick was also a rosy color, which was a great choice for her. Debra lined her eyes in both black and silver, which always is an intriguing look, and wore mascara on her beautiful long lashes. Her hair was in a gorgeous up-do, pulled tightly back and nothing out of place. It gave her a youthful look while helping to bring out the best features of her face.

Her dress was a knee-length wraparound. It had a herringbone design all over it in different shades of silver, some shades so dark they appeared almost black. The wraparound dress hung off one shoulder and the sleeve on the other shoulder stuck out a bit past her arm, but in a way that looked attractive and interesting instead of just plain weird. She wore a black and gold belt and the dress showed her curves nicely without revealing too much. She wore beautiful high heels that were black and shiny, perfect for her dress since they matched her belt exactly and tied everything together. She wore a ring, two bracelets of a frosted white, and teardrop earrings. Debra never has lost her sense of style and she is an actress women all over can look to for style, because everything she wears could be adapted for any woman.

Candace Cameron Hair, Fashion, Makeup Style

Located in Santa Monica, California, the Shangri-La Hotel is a famous hotel. Recently the hotel hosted the “A Smile For Every Child” gala. Candace Cameron was just one of many actors who attended.

The former child star of “Full House” proved that she has grown up to be a classy and sophisticated actress. Candace had a great makeup style. She wore a light pink lipstick perfect for her skin tone and a rosy blush. On her full eyelashes, she wore black mascara and she lined her eyes in black. It emphasized them beautifully. Her hair was down and parted on the side. She brushed her long bangs across her forehead, keeping them out of her eyes but still helping to frame her face. Her long hair looked beautiful falling around her shoulders. Candace took the idea of the little black dress and turned it into a sexy and sassy dress. The top of her dress was a sheer black material that had solid black designs, of loops and lines, running through it. The neckline was high and the bodice of the dress was covered in black sequins. The top of the bodice was also covered in black loops that looked like roses.

The bodice was a second layer and it stayed loose from the main layer, and gave the dress a pretty, tiered appearance. She wore a belt that helped to gather the dress at her waist and the skirt ended at her knees. Her shoes were perfect for the dress; she wore high-heeled sandals that had open toes and petite straps around the ankle. She wore big golden hoop earrings that were actually perfect and a stretchy beaded bracelet.

Victoria Justice Latest Hair, Makeup, Fashion Style

Hollywood, California is home to the Hollywood Palladium. The Palladium hosted the 9th Annual Padre’s Contra El Cancer’s “El Sueno De Esperanza” Gala. Many badly dressed stars attended the gala, including Victoria Justice.

Victoria looked wonderful as far as her hair and makeup was concerned. She wore black eyeliner and mascara. Her blush and lipstick were both a pale pink. She looked angelic with the proper colors and the way her hair framed her face. She wore her long hair loose and flowing. She swept her bangs off her face and had her hair parted on the side.

What Victoria was thinking when she wore this dress no one will ever know or could even guess. The best thing about her whole outfit was the cute black clutch that she carried. Her dress was a tank top style, with straps for sleeves, and was pink and black. Now, that combination can be lovely but this was haphazard and painful to look at. The top of the dress was bright pink material that overlapped itself. Right below it the black part of the dress started, in the same style as the very top. It seemed as if someone had quickly pinned in some pink pieces to try to raise the neckline a little bit. From the waist down, the dress wasn’t so bad. It had two layers. The top layer was loose and flowing while the bottom layer was fitted. Had the dress not had the pink, it would have looked fine, especially if it had been a bit longer than knee-length. She wore black booties with high heels that would have been better suited for blue jeans or dressy slacks than this dress.

Eva Longoria Parker Trendy Hair, Fashion, Makeup Style

The 9th Annual Padre’s Contra El Cancer’s “El Sueno De Esperanza” Gala was held at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California. Eva Longoria Parker was one of many stars who attended. She was able to take a silly outfit and turn it into something great.

Eva Longoria Parker

Eva’s dress was white, sleeveless, and hung down to her knees. The top and bottom of the dress was lined with a white material that was sheer and ruffled. The bottom of her dressed had extra ruffles and looked like it had been designed after a flower, perhaps a chrysanthemum. The dress was belted around her waist with a gold belt that had X’s and circles designed in it. She wore pretty, open-toe gold heels. Her earrings and ring were from a matching set that was silver with large, clear, square stones. The dress was an odd design, resembling triangles attached point to point, but somehow Eva pulled the look off beautifully.

Eva Longoria Parker

Eva’s makeup style was simple. She wore mascara and eyeliner, brought out her eyes with a silvery eyeshadow, and wore light pink blush and lipstick. The color choice was perfect with her skin tone and the dress she wore. She wore her bangs parted, with some of them swept across her forehead to frame one side of her face while the others framed the other side. The rest of her hair was pulled back and tucked into a loose bun at the nape of her neck. Eva looked fun and cute in this very different outfit.
